After several years in key roles within the company, Tor Magne Madsen will take over from Tor Hellestøl, who has led the company since its inception, effective June 1, 2025.

Madsen brings extensive leadership experience from the oil and gas industry and joined Fishglobe in 2020 as the company’s third employee. Following the merger that created Fishglobe Technologies, he has served as Deputy CEO with responsibility for all international activities.

“I am proud and excited about the new challenges. After working closely with Tor for many years, it is sad to say goodbye to someone who means a great deal to me. I knew this day would come, and I am motivated to take one of the most exciting aquaculture companies in the world even further,” says Madsen.

Tor Magne strongly believes the team, together with the owners and board, is well-positioned to reach ambitious goals going forward.

“This is just the beginning for the company, and I look forward to working hard to realize its values and potential!”

Tor Hellestøl has led the company since 2018 and will, for a period, take on a new role within Fishglobe Technologies.

“It has been a fantastic journey since I first met Arne Berge in 2018 and was introduced to the Fishglobe technology. What started with the two of us has grown into a competent, forward-leaning, and technology-driven team – further strengthened through the merger with ICON Systems,” says Hellestøl.

In recent years, Fishglobe Technologies has established itself as a leading player in the development and delivery of closed-containment sea-based aquaculture facilities, built on proprietary and patented technology. With breakthroughs both nationally and internationally in 2024, a strong order backlog, and a new strategy in place, Hellestøl believes the timing for a leadership transition is right.

The chairman and majority shareholder express their gratitude for his efforts.
